The Artemus J. Duncan Charitable Foundation continues a legacy of generosity, humility, service, and compassion, creating brighter futures for children and communities.
The Foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations whose work creates meaningful opportunities for Native American and underprivileged children. Our interests include education, health and wellness, cultural preservation, youth development, mentorship, and assistance for families experiencing hardship.

A Life That Opened Doors for Others
Art believed that a person's greatest legacy is not what they leave behind, but the opportunities they create for others.
Working his way through the University of Pennsylvania shaped Art's lifelong belief in the power of perseverance, education, and opportunity. He went on to build and lead his own business for more than 40 years, measuring success not by personal achievement, but by the lives he helped change.
Whether sharing a laugh over a card game or offering a helping hand, Art was known for his quick wit, genuine generosity, and unwavering kindness. A loyal friend and compassionate mentor, he believed every child deserved the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.
Throughout his life, Art quietly invested in educational opportunities and generously supported Native American children and communities, believing that education, opportunity, and cultural heritage should be preserved for future generations. He gave with humility and compassion, expecting nothing in return except the chance to make a difference.
His legacy lives on through every child encouraged, every family strengthened, and every opportunity created for generations to come.
